Learning through Service

Through frequent school service initiatives, students, families, faculty, and staff make a difference in communities near and far. First graders band together to clean up our fields; fourth graders sow Shore’s Learning Garden with seedlings to be donated; fifth graders manage the schoolwide Thanksgiving food drive; eighth graders tend gardens for local pantries; ninth graders build houses in Mississippi; hundreds of families join together annually for United in Service, a day of projects and outreach in partnership with the United Way. Beyond these school-sponsored efforts, Shore community members are well known for their commitment to causes across the region.
